Post 8 (Week 7): Summer Plans

Hi Bloggers: Today I will talk about my plans for this summer, sincerely for this summer I do not have many plans because I will most likely go to student exchange, and the place where I go classes start in January. But assuming I was here in Chile: normally in the summer I go out with friends, I almost always go to Reñaca in the fifth region, because mi family has an apartment there, and my best friend lives in a Concon so we had a great time together, but I always end up returning to Santiago or going to other way because it bores me being so long in that city. Besides going to the beach, I love traveling south, I think it is a very beautiful and magical place. In summer I never travel with my family on vacation, because we all have very different schedules and different plans too, so we go out together at other times of the year. In summer I like to travel with my friends because beacause we had a good time together and they are very motivated because they like to travel place

Post 7 (Week 8): My bucket list

Hi bloggers: I have never had a wish list but if I have many dreams that I would like to fulfill before I die. Some of them are: 1. Parachuting 2. Know all the continents 3. Travel by helicopter 4. Get to know all of Europe 5. Touch an elephant Of all my wishes I think there are two that would be difficult to achieve but not impossible, to travel throughout Europe and know all the con tinents, you need a lot of time and also a lot of money. For ordinary people like me it is difficult to achieve these dreams. I really have not really been able to archieve any of these dreams, because some are very difficult or I simply have not had the opportunity to realize them. I think I would like to realize these dreams with my friends, because with them I have a great time and they make it more fun. Maybe there are things that I would do with my family too, like traveling somewhere, because I like spending time with them and if we know new places it is better. I think a dream that

Post 6 (Week 7): Postgraduate studies

Hi bloggers: In the future I would like to do a master´s degree in design at the Milano Polytechnic. I want to do the course because one day I would like to do classes at the university and for that you need postgraduate degrees, it is also always good to continue learning things and specialize. It is not specifically what to study but I would like it to be specialized in three fundamental areas: Design, Process and Industrial Production, Design materials, representation and prototyping. There is a program at the Milano Polythechnic in Italy that aims to prepare a design figure that integrates the design and "engineering" cultures, to provide a complete project file that includes the concept of the product, through the final design and of work, and the preparation of the necessary documents for the production, when one graduates would hace particular skills in the choice of materials, in design methodologies in a virtual enviroment and in the impact of the technologica

Post 5 (Week 6): My future job

Hi bloggers: Honestly, I have not thought much about the work I would like to have in the future, but I think that something that I would like to be would be to be dedicate myself to the production of wooden objects, be it furniture or smaller things. I imagine having a workshop and that in the same place in the workshop is the store where I sell my products, I wish I was near my house to be able to walk there. I would like it to be a mixture of both things, bone inside and outside together, because I like the outdoors, but also the workshop and the store should have an interior part for comfort issues. Obviously it would be great to have to travel for work, because I would like know new places and travel the world, and if my job gave me the ease of doing it would be better. For me, the salary is also important, besides having a vocation for what I do I like to know places and travell, and normally for that money money is needed, so it would be important to have a good salary

Post 4 (Week 5): My favorite book

My favorite author is a Chilean woman named Martina Cañas, I'm really not sure if that is her name, I think she is a pseudonym. She is the author of a series of books, but the first one she wrote is called "Tales of a drunk woman" and tells about her life's experiences in a different situations. I read three of her books and the truth is that I found them very funny, she is very funny telling her stories. The truth is htat I don't read much but when I do I usually like to read adventure stories like Isabel Allende's books or funny stories like Martina Cañas. My favorite book is called "My lime orange plant". Tells about the story of a 5 years old boy and his family that they have to move home near a river because they are very poor, after changing this child he befriends a plant and meets a man who becomes like a father for him, after a series of unfortunate events, the man dies and with him also the lime orange plant, for these reasons the child

Post 3 (Week 5): My favorite movie

My favorite movie is called The Pianist, it is the story of a Polish man of Jewish origin called  Szpilman who plays the piano on radio in Warsaw, mainly it is about the time when the Nazis arrived Poland and how this pianist survives a series of horrible situations and the holocaust. I like this movie because the story is very interesting and I think it's very well filmed and written. I like realistic movies, usually based on real events or documentary, I find that they are more interesting and that you can also learn a lot of history and new things. The last movie I saw is called Bohemian Rapsody and is the story of the famous British rock band Queen and her vocalist Freddy Mercury, I highly recommend it because in addition to having very good music and being a biopic, the actors represent their characters very well. I think something important to mention is that people in Chile should watch more documentary films or more art movies and not just wacth the premieres o

Post 2 (Week 4): The best concert ever

The best concert  I've been to was two years ago in February and we were at the national stadium. The group that lives is well known around the world and is my favorite band, they are called The Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones it is a British rock band from London, its current members are Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts. They are considered as one of the biggest and most influential band in rock history. They achieved national fame and establiseh themselves as one of the most popular bands on the nationall scene in 1965 with the launch of "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". The atmosphere of the event was very good because The Rolling Stones did not come to the country two decades ago and there were many generations together, parents with their children and also with their grandson all together for the music.
